Why Support Cows?
There are thousands of shelters for cats and dogs. But cows have nowhere to go after a lifetime of service.
At Govinda Goshala Cow Haven we have been caring for cows for 40 years. We want to pass on what we have learned to help other Goshalas get established and thrive.
We have a template for success, giving educational products and providing ahimsa products.
We need some help to install some labor saving infrastructure, like a frost free water bowl so the cows water wont freeze in the winter, fix the leaking barn roof and hire a summer staff person to give programs and help with the hardest of chores.
Everyone who pitches in to help will get a copy of Govinda Goshala's new children's book.
Start a Tradition that Supports Our Values
The best way to help goshalas get established in America is to make a monthly donation. Even small regular donations, will ensure that the cows are always fed and have good care.
We make a daily habit of Starbucks; why not a habit of donating monthly to care for the cows that give us milk all of our lives?
Feed a Cow- Get our new Children's Book
Cows love to eat. (dried grass) in the winter, and grass in the summer. Buy some hay to feed the cows and get a digital copy of A Safe Home for Shanti Cow.
Keep the Cows Warm and Dry this Winter
Cows can handle a lot of cold, even sub-zero temperatures, but they need to stay dry and sheltered from strong winds. Unfortunately, our barn roof leaks. When it rains outside, it also rains inside (our barn). Help fix the barn roof and keep the cows warm this winter. Get good karma points and a print copy of A Safe Home for Shanti Cow.
Programs for Families
We have a great location on route to Niagara Falls from the NY NJ Metropolitan area. Hiring a staff person will allow us to give regular summer programs, so kids can get to know cows up close and personal. Cows are so cute and snugly. Every child should have this chance. Sponsor a staff member and get a cute snugly cow "piggy bank" and a copy of A Safe Home for Shanti Cow.

Govinda Goshala Cow Haven was incorporated as a 501c3 nonprofit educational goshala to provide information and labor sharing networks to make it easier for other goshalas to care for their cows. Join us in helping the project grow to the next level; so that more cows in the US can have a safe home.
